I’m Ashman. I’m 17 and in school in Greater Noida West, India. I graduate in June 2027.
My head doesn’t stop producing ideas. Some are practical, some are ridiculous, and I can’t always tell which is which at first. So the thing I value most is someone telling me an idea is broken while it’s still cheap to change. Being told it’s great is worth very little to me. Being shown the crack is worth a lot.
Nibbles
Everything on this site was built on one laptop. It’s called Nibbles, after Jerry’s little cousin in Tom and Jerry: small, fearless, eats everything in his way. I named it that at 15 as a hope. It’s a description now.
It has an RTX 4060 with 8 GB of video memory and 24 GB of RAM. The RAM is why I can run local models at all. With undervolting, a lot of care over airflow and clean fans, it held 65 °C at full power through a two-week training run.
Having one machine with 8 GB of video memory taught me most of what I know. If a big model crawls and a sparse one flies, you learn why very quickly.
Outside of this
Music, listened to closely rather than in the background. ODESZA for how they place sound in space. Skott for the vocals. shy martin and Rosie Darling for lyrics that are heartbreaking and comforting at the same time. I can’t explain how they do that, which is why I keep going back.
